FBA

Our current integration with FBA is for Amazon.com only, and requires that FBA items are added to FillZ by importing an inventory file in the UI (user interface), or via FTP. If you're not familiar with either method, please don't hesitate to Contact Us

In a later phase, we will be adding full support for FBA via our User Interface. Multi-channel support will also be added in a later phase (the ability to send your FBA listings to marketplaces other than Amazon).

Sellers cannot currently use FBA with FillZ if they use ISBN Consolidation through FillZ.

Please Contact Us if you would like to have your FillZ account configured for FBA. If you don't, the features below will not be available to you.

Workflow:

  1. Listing creation and shipments are handled outside of FillZ. FillZ users can use Shipment Creator or another Amazon utility to give Amazon details of the FBA items and create shipments (e.g. print labels, validate items).
  2. FillZ users can then upload Inventory files via the Inventory Import page or to their FillZ FTP accounts containing items sent to Amazon in the Shipment Creator or another Amazon utility (see step 1). The listings in these files will be marked as FBA (there could be additional FBM items in this file as well).

FTP Imports:

The Amazon Tab format now supports a new field. The header for the new field is: fulfillment-channel
-If the listing will be fulfilled by Merchant (FBM), leave the value blank for the listing
-If the listing will be fulfilled by Amazon (FBA), fill in the following value for the listing: AMAZON_NA

Example:
   fulfillment-channel
   AMAZON_NA
The UIEE format now supports a new field. The header for the new field is: KE|fc=
-If the listing will be fullfilled by Merchant (FBM), leave the value blank for the listing
-If the listing will be fulfilled by Amazon (FBA), fill in the following value for the listing: AMAZON_NA

Example:
   KE|fc=AMAZON_NA
  • FillZ will grab the condition, ASIN and quantity data from Amazon for FBA listings, instead of using the data from an import file.
  • FillZ does not create FBA listings on Amazon. Sellers must add the items to Amazon and send their shipments, then add the listings to FillZ. FillZ will be able to re-price the listings, and send other regular updates (such as note changes).
  • You cannot convert an FBA item to FBM in FillZ unless the quantity at Amazon is 0.

IMPORTANT: FillZ Purges (purging when importing a file into FillZ) will function normally for FBM listings, but FBA listings will not be deleted by purges. They will remain in your FillZ inventory. You would need to convert the listings to FBM in order to purge them.

UI Imports:

The Amazon Tab and FillZ Inventory Loader formats now support a new field. The header for the new field is: fulfillment-channel
-If the listing will be fulfilled by Merchant (FBM), leave the value blank for the listing
-If the listing will be fulfilled by Amazon (FBA), fill in the following value for the listing:
AMAZON_NA

Example:
   fulfillment-channel
   AMAZON_NA
The UIEE format now supports a new field. The header for the new field is: KE|fc=
-If the listing will be fulfilled by Merchant (FBM), leave the value blank for the listing
-If the listing will be fulfilled by Amazon (FBA), fill in the following value for the listing: AMAZON_NA

Example:
   KE|fc=AMAZON_NA
  • FillZ will grab the condition, ASIN and quantity data from Amazon for FBA listings, instead of using the data from an import file.
  • FillZ does not create FBA listings on Amazon. Sellers must add the item to Amazon and send their shipment, then add the listing to FillZ.

If a seller changes an item from FBA to FBM through UI Import, they must do an Advanced Import (with the “Allow quantities to increase or decrease, replacing existing quantity” box checked), or the quantity will be set to 0 for the item.

Marketplace Exports:

  • If you have multiple marketplaces activated in FillZ, FillZ will send a delete to all marketplaces except for Amazon if you mark an item as FBA.
  • New FBA listings received by FillZ will not be sent to Amazon.com. Only modifications will ever be sent to Amazon.com, and then only after Amazon has confirmed there is a quantity of > 0

FTP Orders:

  • FillZ is able to retrieve a report from Amazon of your SHIPPED FBA orders
  • FBA orders will appear along with FBM orders in the files that FillZ places into the /orders-created directory in your FillZ FTP account
The order format now supports a new field. The header for the new field is: fulfillment_by
-FBA orders will contain the following value in the new field: amazon
-FBM orders will contain the following value in the new field: merchant

Examples:
fulfillment_by
amazon
merchant

Re-Pricing:

  • FillZ can tell whether your listing is FBA or FBM
  • FillZ can tell whether your competitors offer super saver shipping or not (Most FBA listings will appear with super saver shipping)
  • FillZ can tell what quantity your competition has for an item

UI Changes:

  • FillZ will display the quantity number for a listing based on the Fulfillable quantity in Amazon
  • FillZ will display an icon that says "FBA" on the Browse, Condition & Price, and Edit Item pages for any FBA listings
  • FillZ will display an icon that says "FBA" on the Orders page for any FBA orders (these will appear in SHIPPED status)
  • Sellers cannot make changes to the Quantity, ASIN, Make Active or Condition fields
  • The "Wrong Title?" link will not appear for FBA listings
  • FBA orders will appear in the Shipped order folder
  • FBA orders will display *** N/A ***! in the location field
  • FBA orders will display an icon that says "FBA"

Adding Your FBA Inventory To FillZ:

If you have FBA inventory in Amazon, you can do the following to request the data from Amazon and generate an import file for FillZ:

1. Log into Seller Account on Amazon.com
2. Click on Inventory Reports
3. Select Active Listings Report from the drop down
4. Click on Request Report
5. When the report is ready, you can download it from the same page (can take up to 45 minutes).
6. After you have downloaded a copy of the report to your computer, open the file using Excel. You will want to open it this way:
   a. Open Excel
   b. Locate the file you downloaded from Amazon and click Open
   c. Select Delimited then click Next.
   d. Check the box beside Tab then click Next.
   e. Highlight all of the data under "data preview" (select the first column, hold hold down the shift key on your keyboard, then
select the last column to highlight everything).
   f. Check the box beside Text and click Finish.

 * Non-FBA items will contain "DEFAULT" in the fulfillment-channel field, FillZ will add/modify these items in your account.
If you do not want to add/modify your seller fulfilled listings in FillZ, you just need to sort by the fulfillment-channel
field and delete the rows with the word DEFAULT before you save your file and import it into FillZ.

7. Click to Save the changes you made to the file.

Now you're ready to import your file into FillZ:

1. Log into your FillZ account
2. Click Start
3. Click Import
4. Select the format "Amazon - tab separated" from the drop down list
5. Make sure the appropriate decimal separator for your prices is selected from the drop down (if your prices are in US Dollars,
you should select (period), if your prices are in Pounds you may need to select (comma)
6. Click on the Browse button and find the file on your computer.
7. Click on Add/Modify/Delete
8. Wait for the import to complete!
