[edit] Purge/Replace

Using FillZ, there are two different purge functions you can initiate: FillZ Purge and Marketplace Purge.

[edit] 1. Purging Your FillZ inventory:

Depending on what you need your file to do, you can select either a Standard Import or an Advanced Import:

 Standard Import: Start --> Import --> Purge/Replace
 Advanced Import: Start --> Import --> Advanced Import --> Purge/Replace

The above Purges are performed directly on FillZ by the seller.

Standard Import Purge:

  • The Purge and Replace button will remove your active FillZ inventory and replace it with the file you are uploading. The standard import will not allow you to delete more than 25% of your inventory. If you need to remove more than 25% of your inventory, you will need to use the Advanced Purge function (see “Advanced Import” below).
  • The regular import feature will not allow you to add SKUs that have been deleted or removed (either because they were sold or they were deleted by you). These SKUs still remain in your inventory, with quantity of 0 (you can see this if you search your inventory for SKUs with quantity of 0 (=0)). This is a safety net, to prevent you from activating previously sold items (items that are no longer available). If you initiate a purge/replace via an import, and there are SKUs in the replacement file that were purged, those SKUs will not be added. If you upload a file containing SKUs that were previously deleted from your inventory, those SKUs will also not be added.

Advanced Import Purge:

  • In order to add SKUS that were deleted or removed, you will want to use the this feature - making sure to mark the "Allow quantity increase" box.
  • The Purge and Replace button will purge your entire active FillZ inventory and replace it with the data in the file you upload. However, if you delete a SKU and later that same SKU appears in the import file, that SKU will not be added. This is a safety net to prevent you from activating previously sold items. If you want to activate previously deleted/sold SKUs, be sure to check the "Allow quantity increase" box.
  • If you are deleting (purging) more than 25% of your FillZ inventory, be sure to check the "Override safety" box.
  • If you are uploading in order to modify items, please be careful not to activate already sold items. Leave "Allow quantity increase" unchecked to ensure that you don't change the quantity of a sold item.

Once you have purged/replaced your inventory on FillZ, you should then initiate a purge on each Marketplace separately.

[edit] 2. Marketplace Purge:

  • We recommend that you purge your Markets every 30 days to keep your FillZ inventory synchronized with each venue (with exception to eBay, as there is no “Purge” feature for eBay. For more details click here.
  • If 30 days has passed since a purge was initiated for a marketplace, you will see "Purge recommended" in the Notices column. Clicking on "Purge Recommended" will bring you to the purge confirmation page for the respective marketplace. To begin the process, you must confirm the purge. FillZ will purge the marketplace listings and re-send your complete FillZ inventory.
  • We ask that you perform these purges on one market at a time at 8 hour intervals. Purges and replaces can be very taxing on all systems involved in the process. If you have a large inventory, we recommend that you purge your Markets in the evening or on the weekend.
