Becoming a Seller with Amazon:

  • Please note that you must have a Pro-Merchant account in order for FillZ to access your Amazon account to export inventory and retrieve orders. For more information on becoming a seller on Amazon, please click here.

Market Specific Notes:

  • Amazon has discontinued the zShop Program. All qualified items are now listed in Marketplace.
  • Non-catalog items can now be listed in Amazon's marketplace. In order to assign ASINS Amazon does require values in the following 5 fields:
    • Title
    • Author
    • Media (for Amazon's accepted Binding Values, click here).
    • Publisher
    • Publication Date (This must be in the Additional Attributes field, such as PBYR|1995)
  • Amazon does not allow Teachers' Editions.
  • Amazon limits sellers in the Collectible Books category to those meeting certain criteria.
  • Amazon uses different bibliographic catalogs for different sites (.com, .uk, .de, .fr, etc). Amazon will not create a duplicate product page for an item that already exists in a different catalog. You will likely receive an error message to this effect: "Sorry, this product is ineligible for Amazon Marketplace selling at this time." Because we use Amazon.com's bibliographic catalog for listing items by ISBN/UPC/ASIN/EAN, you may notice that some of your items appear in your inventory as "Non-Catalog."
Example:
ISBN 0904849317 Title: "The Ten Books on the Way of Life and Great Deeds of the Carmelites" This item is not found on Amazon.com, but is in Amazon.co.uk's catalog. You will be unable to list this item on Amazon.com

FillZ Specific Notes

  • We only have access to your inventory when you first register with FillZ. After that, we are unable to import your inventory on your behalf.
  • If you are importing your Amazon listings into FillZ and you do not have separate SKU numbers for your inventory, FillZ will create SKU numbers on your behalf, using the Amazon Listing ID number. Items on Amazon that do not have SKUs can't be deleted or modified by FillZ, so we recommend that you purge Amazon after you download your open-listings report into FillZ.
  • If an item has been sold on Amazon, but has not been paid for, the item will not be imported into FillZ. This is a safe-guard to ensure that you do not ship orders before payment has been processed.
  • Amazon doesn't allow sellers to configure the frequency of order report notifications, however, you can disable the notifications in your Amazon Seller Account under "Communications Preferences."

Activating Your Amazon Settings in FillZ:

  • Click here and follow the instructions under "To Begin Activation."

Trouble-Shooting Amazon:

  • If you have uploaded a file and notice that the items in that file are not appearing in Amazon, you may want to check your export log to see if Amazon has rejected your listing for any reason. To review your export file logs:
  1. Log in to your FillZ account.
  2. Click Start.
  3. Click Market Status.
  4. Under Amazon Marketplace Status, click Show Exports
  5. The files are listed chronologically. If you know when your item was added and updated, look for the export closest to that time and click on report-amazon-XXXXXXXX.txt to find the item. You may have to look through a few files before you find your item.
  • If you see a "Warning Message" assigned to your listing, your item should still appear on Amazon, but they may have made some changes, such as truncating the title.
  • If you see an "Error Message" assigned to your listing, Amazon did not post your item.
  • For a list of Amazon Warning and Error messages and also for resolutions, please click here
  • If you have any questions about the information above, please do not hesitate to contact us.
