How to Add Inventory Manually

If you do not have your inventory saved in a file, you can add books through our User Interface.

To Add Inventory in Bulk:

If you wish to scan or enter your inventory manually, you can add items easily by clicking on the "Inventory Input" page (this is conveniently located under the "Inventory" tab in your FillZ account).

Here is the preferred process for entering new items:

  1. Enter a batch of books on the "Inventory Input" page. Enter the location, then enter or scan each ISBN. (You can do condition there or leave it for later).
  2. Go to Condition/price page. by default it will only show you items that are not priced. It will also show you competitive prices from Amazon.com so you can easily choose your price. You can click on a competitive price to beat that price by $0.05. You can also enter comments about the item at this time.

After price and conditions have been entered for the items, they will be automatically uploaded to your active marketplaces

  • An alternative to the Inventory Input page is the New Items page. When using the "New Items" page, FillZ will auto-generate SKUs for you, but these items will appear in your inventory without condition, price, or notes. If you wish to scan ISBNs and add your own custom SKU and Location, use the Inventory Input page instead.
