[edit] Currency

You must provide a base price for items that you add/import into your FillZ inventory. You also have the option of sending prices in a Cost field.

By default, FillZ marks up prices for items going to Amazon.co.uk (as most of our sellers are located in North America). To turn this off, click the "Send market-specific prices as is - do not perform currency conversion" box and the "Send base prices as is - do not perform currency conversion" box at the bottom of the Settings page.

Example: You are listing on AmazonUK and Amazon.com. You send us an item with a base price of 2. We export it to both marketplaces as 2, and the item is displayed in the currency of the marketplace (AmazonUK as 2 Pounds, and Amazon.com as 2 US Dollars).

If you need a currency conversion performed, we recommend that you set your base price to a high price, and add your usual prices to the Cost field. Your script can then be based off the information in the Cost field (such as using it for minimum price). This will ensure that you won't lose money should your items be sent to a marketplace before your prices have been adjusted.

  • If you use premium re-pricing or custom re-pricing, your script will be run automatically within 30 minutes of adds/modifies, so there is a possibility of items being sent to the marketplace before this happens.
  • If you use manual re-pricing, you will need to run your script manually with a few clicks of a mouse. You do have the ability to suspend exports for all marketplaces individually, add your items/modifications, run your script, and then un-suspend exports if you want to avoid items being sent before the prices have been adjusted. If you choose not to, there is a chance that your items will be sent to the marketplaces before the prices have been adjusted.

[edit] AbeBooks

If you have an Abebooks account configured in FillZ and send us prices in pounds, we will pass them on to AbeBooks and AbeBooks will display them as Pounds. This works fine for most UK sellers, as long as the majority of their prices are above 1 Pound.

[edit] If you have lots of items priced below 1 Pound:

The one problem with this is that we are also configured to send the lowest price of 1.00 to AbeBooks (due to being originally created for US and the $1 price floor on AbeBooks). Until we are able to provide UK sellers with the ability to disable this feature, if you have prices that are less than 1 Pound, you will not want FillZ to list your items on Abe in Pounds.

What you can do is use a script in FillZ to convert your prices to US Dollars with a conversion rate that you choose, and then have your AbeBooks currency set to US Dollars, so we can send them $1 USD for a price, and AbeBooks will convert it to Pounds at the going rate (ie. 0.56 Pounds).

[edit] Settings

On the Export tab of the Settings page in your FillZ account you will want to select your country if you are located in the UK. This will set your location to the UK, so if you specify 'no' for international shipping, your Amazon listings will be available for shipping within the UK, just not elsewhere.
