Script Library

Further Help Information can be found here.

You can do much more than just reprice your inventory with a customized script. Standard Scripts can be used to segment your inventory to exclude particular types of listings from specific markets. This includes filtering by keywords.

In addition to the Standard Suite of scripts, we also offer fully customizable repricing strategies. If you require a repricing strategy not offered through our Wiki, please contact our Support team with your requirements and we will tell you if we can develop a customized script (please read through the Questions to Consider section before sending us your requirements). We will also provide you with a price quote. If you choose to proceed, we will then implement this strategy and save it within your account.

Base Price & Unpriced Base

Base Price:

  • If you wish to change your base prices within FillZ based on a script:
    • paste the script into the text-box
    • click "Save"
    • then run the script on "Base Price." ("Base Price" is included in your list of Marketplaces)

This will have your pricing script apply to your items' Base Prices in FillZ.

Unpriced Base:

  • Similarly, you can run a script to update all of the items in your inventory that are missing Base Prices (ie: no price stored for the item) in FillZ.
    • Follow the instructions above, but choose "Unpriced Base" in the list of Marketplaces.

How to Run Your Script

  1. Click "Start" --> "Re-Price."
  2. Paste the script, exactly as it is shown, in the "Script" box and click "Save."
  3. We recommend that you run the script in "Test Mode" to ensure the script will make the changes you intended.
    • Please ensure "Test" and "Verbose" are checked in order for the test to run properly.
  4. Choose the "Marketplace(s)" you wish to test the script on.
    • You may run the script on a maximum of 6 Markets at a time.

If the results returned are what you expected, run the script in the appropriate marketplaces with the "Test" box unchecked.

Questions to consider when requesting a Pricing Script

Where appropriate, sample options are listed below each question.

  1. If you currently have a pricing script - do you want the new request incorporated into the current script - or do you require a new (separate) script?

  2. What determines your minimum price?
    • Based on cost (Note: you must provide the cost data).
    • Based on flat rate (price items no lower than $5).
    • Based on percentage of item's base price (price items no lower than 50% of base price).

  3. If price matching or competing, what should be done when there is no competing item?
    • Price at item's base price.
    • Leave price at whatever current price is on the marketplace (unchanged).
    • Price at 80% of Amazon's List price (Note: not always available).

  4. Do you want to specify a maximum price?
    • Based on 80% of Amazon's list price (Note: not always available).
    • Based on 200% of your item's cost (Note: you must provide the cost data).

  5. If beating or matching lowest marketplace price, is there a maximum discount you want applied?
    • For example, many sellers only want a 20% shift in price towards lowest price.

  6. If you want specific items suppressed from a marketplace or discounts to be applied based on characteristics of an item, what best uniquely signifies that characteristic?
    • For example, you want 1st Editions to be marked up by 10%, you'll need to specify where to look and what the variations may be to designate a 1st Edition.
      • Sample request: First editions contain 1st Ed or First Ed in the note field; please mark those up by 10% for the Alibris Marketplace.

Notes About Standard Automated Repricing for eBay

Repricing can be automated for eBay. Other markets coming soon. This can be enabled on the eBay settings (Click "Settings" -> "Marketplaces" -> "Configuration for eBay") page on FillZ under the Other eBay Link Settings section.

Some things to watch out for:

  • If you have enabled the auto-repricer but do not have a script in your account, your listings will not be exported to eBay.
    • You can disable this feature until you have a script to run on eBay.
  • If you have a syntax error in your script, exports will be delayed until it is fixed.
  • Changing the script or changes in competitive pricing will not cause existing items to be repriced.
    • You have to manually reprice existing items.
  • Suspend exports before you modify your script, and unsuspend after it is tested.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How old is the pricing data?

A: The pricing data is zero to 72 hours old, with an average of about 24 hours.

Q: What is "myAmzID"?

A: The myAmzID variable is your alphanumeric Amazon seller ID, which is different from your Amazon login information. FillZ uses this ID in scripts that are intended to beat Amazon's lowest price. The script needs to know your ID so that you don't compete against your own items. You can get your seller ID by going to your Amazon settings page in FillZ and clicking on "Save and Verify". Your seller ID will appear at the top of the page in red.

Q: If I want to change a pre-existing script in the wiki, will I be charged a fee?

Q: If there are two scripts in the wiki that I want to combine, will I be charged a fee?

Q: What Markets does FillZ offer pricing data for? ==

A:Currently, FillZ provides competitive pricing data from the following markets:

You can reprice items individually as they are entered into FillZ in the Condition and Price page. You can also update prices through the use of re-pricing scripts.
