You can get a preview of the report once you've logged in to the Seller Hub, and access the full report by clicking the "Best Selling Items" link in the left-hand navigation bar. Updated each month, the report is also downloadable, so it's easy to take along when you make your purchases.

We're always striving to deliver new and innovative ways for our sellers to reach and land potential customers—and we want to tell you all about them! Here's another exciting marketing program we've developed to bring more readers your way.

Reach more customers in more ways with the Alibris Affiliate Program Sure, you know about our partnerships with sites like Barnes & Noble.com and Borders. But did you know that we also maintain thousands of smaller but no less vital relationships through our Alibris Affiliate Program? These affiliates include shopping comparison sites, reward/point sites, blogs, review sites, and plenty of others; all paid commissions to advertise Alibris (see an example here). In fact, we have a network of more than 5,000 affiliates driving new and repeat customers, through placements and the countless links that help us rank even higher on the Web's top search engines. It's just one more way we're driving more traffic to your titles.

Put our Half.com partnership to work for you

Half.com has evolved into a major selling channel that's given many of our sellers a tremendous boost in sales. In fact, it's been such a successful program that we're starting to list our sellers' music and movie inventory on Half.com as well!

As you may know, competitively priced inventory from selected sellers is loaded onto Half.com to be seen by millions of shoppers. Orders placed through Half.com appear like any other Alibris order and no special procedures are required. If you have yet to see any of your books sold through Half.com, it may be due to pricing or your fill rate. So make sure your Alibris inventory is competitively priced and that you maintain at least a four-star rating, to increase your chances of getting listed on Half.com. That's all there is to it.

[edit] Operational updates/FAQs

Don't miss these tips on MRS labels and delivery confirmation Many sellers have asked about our MRS (Merchandise Return Service) labels, how they should be used to ship items to our distribution center, and about the use of delivery confirmation. Here are a few important tips to remember:

  • For orders destined for our distribution center, nothing should be applied to the package except the MRS label. Delivery confirmation, insurance, and mailing verification should not be purchased or applied to the package. Even if you, as the shipper, have already paid extra for these services, Alibris will be charged again when the package reaches the USPS sorting center.
  • USPS delivery confirmation only shows that the package was received at the destination post office and not our distribution center nor the customer's address. The local post office may hold packages for several days before they're delivered and received at our distribution center or by the customer. This delay can lead to orders being cancelled as late because they were not received within the time allowed. So it's extremely important that each seller ships within 48 hours, as our policy stipulates, to prevent late arrivals and cancellations.
  • For all other orders not destined for our distribution center, you can now enter delivery confirmation numbers directly on the order details page. Enter delivery confirmation numbers for your customers' orders quickly and easily through the "View All Orders" or "Find an Order" pages on the Seller Hub. For sellers using EDI-Lite, these numbers can also be added to the status file in a separate column. Ask Seller Services for the specifics on format and other details. Delivery confirmation provides better customer service and can protect you from claims of non-delivery and other unnecessary refunds. We particularly recommend that all sellers use delivery confirmation on rare and high-priced items.
