Currency Settings

Currency exchanges are only applied to items being exported. An item must be new/modified/deleted in order to be exported.

If you currently have the "Send base prices as is - do not perform currency conversion" or "Send market-specific prices as is - do
not perform currency conversion" boxes checked in your FillZ account, we will not make any changes to the currency of your items
(except for Play where we send a price in Euro and a price in Pounds, so that default conversion will remain).

Sending items without a currency conversion ("prices as is") is deprecated and will soon be removed. Please set your Global Currency
Settings and marketplace configurations, and disable the "prices as is" options on the Settings page of your FillZ account.
If you do not have the above mentioned boxes checked, FillZ will continue to use our old logic for Amazon.co.uk and Play:

Amazon.co.uk old currency logic:
Conversion: (Price + 4) * .51 = GBP

Play old currency logic:
Base + 6.00 (for shipping) x .65 = Euros
Euros x 0.714 = GBP

If You Would Like to Customize Currencies:

We recommend that you suspend exports to marketplaces while you make currency adjustments, and then re-enable exports after you have completed your changes and are satisfied with them. For help suspending exports, please click here.

Sellers should tell FillZ what currency their base price is in by using our new Currency Settings page. On this page you can also set up currency exchange rates. For instructions on finding and using this page, please click here.

After setting a currency for base price and selecting currency exchange rates, you need to go to Settings->Marketplaces->Configuration for __ for each marketplace you're using with FillZ and make any adjustments you need to the bottom half of the page (the currency section).

The steps for such changes are as follows:

After logging into your FillZ account and clicking on Configuration for __ for a marketplace, fill in or adjust the following fields as necessary:

• Marketplace accepts prices in:
Use this drop down to select the currency that your marketplace account is set up to accept. Some marketplaces only have one
option, while others may have several. If you change this setting, click Update to lock in the change.
• Price Padding:
Depending on your settings, you might see a section that looks like this:

                       Image:CurrencyExample.jpg

     Or like this:

                     Image:CurrencyExample2.jpg

You can edit the Fixed Amount if you would like to mark up your items by a fixed number (such as to help cover shipping)
when being sent the marketplace. You can also add an amount to multiply the total of (base price plus fixed amount times
exchange rate if there is one) if you wish. This will increase or decrease the total number by multiplying it by a number so
you can adjust the total by a percentage.
• You will also need to use a drop down to tell FillZ what currency your market-specific prices are in.
Note: If you are using international pricing data in a pricing script, your market-specific prices should already be in the
currency that the marketplace accepts. For Play it would have been set in old scripts (any scripts created before August 15,
     2009) to Euro.
• If you're selling on Play, you will notice an additional section. Depending on whether you select Euros or GBP as the currency the
marketplace is expecting, the section will either look like:

           Image:Play1.jpg

     or like:

           Image:Play2.jpg

• You can either leave the default fixed conversion as-is, manually adjust it, or you can have FillZ use your global currency
settings. If do not want us to send prices to Play in a second currency (in addition to the currency you selected for the
"Marketplace accepts prices in __" field), select "fixed conversion" and set the rate to 0.0.
• Click "Save".

Once you're satisfied with the currency settings for all marketplaces, you can un-suspend exports.

Recommended: To monitor exports after your settings have been changed in order to ensure your changes have the desired results, click on Start->Market Status, and then show exports for ___ for the marketplace you would like to view exports for.
